Next Saturday night the High Museum is celebratin’ the South with Culture Shock: Homegrown, a night of music, art, Southern culture, and what undoubtedly will be one of the best parties of the year, ya hear?! There will be a screening of Micah Stansell’s The Water and the Blood on the side of the building, opportunities to scratch records in the dj booth, and…what we’re hootin’ and hollerin’ about…a spot to customize your self-styled whisky mason jar.

There will also be music from Ashanti Floyd, AKA the Mad Violinist, sculpture from Aaron Curry, and host of exhibits to be explored, including a comparative photographic exploration between the South and New York. It’s bound to be quite a time.

The party starts at 8, so don’t be too fashionable in your lateness as it stops at midnight.
